Fraîcheur
· Olive Oil Extra Virgin ·

BIO PLANÈTE Fraîcheur is the Olive Oil from the first harvest of each year - unfiltered and univarietal. This seasonal, special oil is much sought after by connoisseurs because of its fresh, grassy green touch.
For this rarity, the particularly aromatic, still green Arbequina olives are carefully harvested by hand and gently cold-pressed the same day. The unfiltered Olive Oil is then bottled. We purchase the Fraîcheur Olive Oil directly from the producer, who is already in the fourth generation of producing high quality Virgin Olive Oil in the traditional company.
Recipe ideas and use of Fraîcheur Olive Oil
Fraîcheur is ideal for steaming and cooking, as it can only be heated carefully. With its fruity, grass-green taste, it harmonises perfectly with salads, vegetables, roasted meat or grilled fish, as well as goat and sheep cheese. Fraîcheur also tastes delicious in homemade Falafel and in an exquisite Olive Oil Parfait.

BIO PLANÈTE Fraîcheur is our first-harvest olive oil – unfiltered and single-varietal. Among connoisseurs, this seasonal, special oil is highly sought-after for its grassy, fruity flavour reminiscent of green tomatoes and for its polyphenol content.
For this rarity, we work with a Portuguese family-run business where the particularly aromatic, still-green Arbequina olives are harvested from the end of October onwards with great care and sensitivity. Directly afterwards, they are gently cold-pressed and the green oil is bottled unfiltered, so that its natural cloudiness preserves all of its original character.
Fraîcheur is an olive oil with real personality – slightly bitter, pleasantly spicy and full of lively, fresh aromas that recall the pure olive fruit. It is made from 100 % Portuguese Arbequina olives, whose early harvest shapes the intense flavour and at the same time explains its exclusive character: because the oil content of the still-green fruits is significantly lower than that of ripe olives, considerably more olives are needed to produce this first harvest. As a result, the quantity available each year is limited.
Our olive harvest takes place from the end of October onwards. We rely on modern, environmentally friendly techniques in order to sustainably protect both the old olive trees and the birdlife. In this way, an exceptional olive oil is created that preserves the taste of the first olives – unfiltered and limited.
Due to its natural cloudiness, Fraîcheur should not be heated. With its fruity, grassy-green flavour, it harmonises perfectly with salads, warm vegetable dishes and goat’s or sheep’s cheese. Fraîcheur also tastes delicious simply on bread or in an exquisite olive-oil parfait.
