Walnut Oil

· Virgin ·
100 ml

Our walnuts are harvested and dried according to an old tradition without mechanical aids before they are gently cold-pressed once. Normally walnut trees are grown on artificially created plantations. The walnuts we use, on the other hand, come from very old trees that were planted in France and Moldavia as early as the 1960s. This results in very old and local varieties with an intense aroma.

Recipe ideas and use of Virgin Walnut Oil

Virgin Walnut Oil should not be heated, so that - in addition to the wonderful taste - the high content of sensitive essential omega-3 fatty acids is preserved. Walnut Oil is a classic of French cuisine. This fine gourmet oil gives even simple dishes that special something. Its creamy, smooth flavour is at its best in cold dishes, for example. to refine dressings and potato salads. Walnut Oil is a real delicacy with fresh lamb’s lettuce. Warm dishes such as fish or root vegetables are refined by drizzling it on them shortly before serving.
