The country looks back on one of the longest traditions of olive cultivation, dating back to the 8th century B.C. It has been shaped by flourishing trade with the East, Europe, and Africa. The diversity of olive varieties is correspondingly rich: Tunisia offers over 20 different olive varieties. Among the most significant varieties are the Chemlali- and the Chetoui olive. Based on our strict requirements regarding quality, taste, and origin, we choose those batches of olive oil from a pool of Tunisian farmers which best meet our standards. |
